Safely discarded and sustainably used: The waste-to-energy plant of the Kraftwerke Mainz-Wiesbaden AG processes around 350,000 tons of waste each year into electricity and heat. The generated steam supplies connected facilities and the district heating network, while remaining slag is reused in road construction.
